The Williamsburg Starz Gold 12-and-under travel fastpitch softball team went 6-0 in the National Softball Association Fall Brawl Tournament in Richmond.
Starz Gold topped Varina Velocity 6-3 in the championship game.
Jaimie Newman went 3-for-3 for Starz Gold and Peyton Herspold got the win on the mound, allowing two runs on three hits in four innings. Lilian Berry came on in relief to finish out the game.
Newman's two-RBI double in the first sent the Starz ahead and they never trailed.
After Jacy Ramos got the Starz out of the fourth inning with a diving catch in center field, the Williamsburg side added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Herspold knocked a single to score Rylee Short before a Newman single scored Berry.
