William and Mary senior first baseman Charley Gould was named Colonial Athletic Association co-player of the week in baseball.
Gould hit .500 with two home runs, three doubles and nine RBIs in a 3-1 week for the Tribe that included a league series win at Elon.
Gould was 3-for-4 in a win over Norfolk State before a 2-for-3 performance with a home run and four RBIs in the series opener against the Phoenix in Burlington, N.C.
UNC Wilmington sophomore Nick Feight, of Prince William County, shared the honor with Gould.
William and Mary (9-11, 2-1) closed out the series against Elon with a 14-7 win after a 10-5 win and 13-7 loss.
Four Tribe players are batting .300 or better (minimum 50 at-bats) for the season: Gould (.382, 15 RBIs, 2 HR), Ryder Miconi (.407, 10 RBIs, 2 HR), Ryan Hall (.375, 15 RBIs, 2 HR), and Cullen Large (.304, 16 RBIs, 2 HRs).
Lafayette High graduate Matt Keane is hitting .276 with three RBIs in nine games played at catcher.
Pitchers Nick Brown and Dan Powers each have two wins for William and Mary while the third weekend starter, Mitchell Aker, sports the best ERA of the trio at 5.04.
Joseph Gaouette's save count is up to four and his ERA is 2.79.
The Tribe hosts Richmond Tuesday before welcoming Hofstra Friday for a three-game weekend set.
