William and Mary junior Omar Prewitt was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week in men's basketball after averaging 24.5 points per game last week.
It was the second CAA Player of the Week for the Tribe after Terry Tarpey's honor last month.
Prewitt, sharing the award with James Madison's Ron Curry, scored a season-best 28 points on 12 of 18 shooting in a win at Northeastern before a 20-point performance against Delaware Saturday. The Sterling, Ky. product shot 6 of 8 from the floor against the Blue Hens and leads the Tribe on the season with 17.3 points per contest.
