West Point School students, staff and visitors found three new additions when they returned to school this year.
The completed canopies presented a new look to both buildings. Their contemporary design and sail-like features brought a new life to the structures. A very nice addition indeed.
Also new to the school this year is School Resource Officer Bill Schramm. Officer Schramm is a three-year veteran of the West Point Police Department. Prior to serving the citizens of West Point, he served our country for more than 20 years in the United States Coast Guard. He is proud to have gone from serving his country to serving his community. Officer Schramm is a great addition to the West Point Schools family.
The third addition is one of two 2014 Ford Explorers. The new marked unit can be found out front at the school most any given day school is in session. The vehicles were purchased under a grant from the Office of the Attorney General at no cost to taxpayers. Funds awarded to law enforcement agencies came through the Attorney general's office as a result of a large pharmaceutical settlement. We are pleased to have received this funding as the new vehicles allow us even greater flexibility in addressing the needs of the citizens we serve.
Come out and see all three additions this Friday during the homecoming festivities.
Safe travels and go Pointers.
