JAMESTOWN - More than 450 re-enactors, veterans and modern-day soldiers will gather at Jamestown Settlement this weekend for Military Through the Ages, a unique chronological display of military history from 64 A.D. to modern times.
The event runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Jamestown Settlement, a living-history museum of 17th-century Virginia. The museum is located on Jamestown Road near the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry dock.
Highlights of the event include re-enactors in authentically re-created military camps. They will demonstrate how uniforms, weapons and military tactics evolved through the centuries.
