Lafayette’s girls tennis team is enjoying the rare fortune of having returned all of its players from last season.
Coach Pat Thompson hopes that will spell a reversal in fortune in several of the close matches the Rams lost last year.
The top Lafayette players are Tawni Hatcher, Haley Quarles, Robin Rosewelsh, Abby Johnson, Isabelle Gareis, Maggie Dwyer and Natalie Wood.
In a 9-0 win Thursday over New Kent, Quarles was the top seed followed by Hatcher at No. 2.
