Yorktown author features first children's book at Aromas

For Evan Scheidegger, storytelling isn't just about words. It's about pictures, too.

Scheidegger, 44, is the first-time author and illustrator of a new children's book, "I Was a Superhero Last Night," released in December by Tate Publishing. A 20-year resident of Yorktown, he greeted folks at a book-signing session at Aromas World in Williamsburg on Saturday.

The book took a year to write and illustrate, with Scheidegger saying that "time is the biggest commodity." But the idea originated years ago, when he would tell bedtime stories to his two children, Emma, now 15, and Tye, now 12.
