When heavy rains fell down on Louisiana, Historic Triangle residents jumped up to support the relief effort.
Prolonged rainfall caused massive flooding last month in southern Louisiana. The flooding damaged tens of thousands of homes and killed at least 13 people, according to the Weather Channel. The Red Cross said they've deployed 3,400 personnel to affected areas since the flooding began.
One of those people was Lisa Phee, a Red Cross volunteer and Williamsburg retiree.
