"KingsLand" project on Pottery land seeks money, approval

The owners of Williamsburg Pottery are seeking support for the development of a 750-acre mixed-use tourism development in York and James City counties.

The company, which owns both the home goods store and the land straddling the county lines, posted a link on their website for KingsLand, a tourist destination that would dwarf Busch Gardens.

Roughly 555 acres of the land is in York and 164 acres is in James City County.
