Student wins award from National Science Foundation
The National Science Foundation awarded William and Mary biology student and Warhill High School graduate Kalen Clifton with a Graduate Research Fellowship.
This is a national award with this year’s winners chosen from a pool of more than 12,000 applicants. Clifton said she did not expect to win the award. While she felt her research was solid and she had good recommendations, it still came as a surprise.
“It was validating to get the award,” Clifton said.
