Williamsburg's Bruce Hornsby tells it 'The Way It Is'

Bruce Hornsby says he’s in his Roger Maris year. 

Sports fans might recognize the name of the Yankees outfielder who, during the 1961 season, hit 61 home runs. The 61st home run set a Major League Baseball record, surpassing Babe Ruth’s 60 home runs. 

At age 61, Hornsby isn’t setting records. He’s making them. 

The Grammy-winning musician and Williamsburg native releases a new album June 17 with his band The Noisemakers. And “Rehab Reunion” is different from anything Hornsby has ever done – written not on his usual piano, but on dulcimer.
