W&M's Denzel Dykes looking to capture his imagination

There are two Saturday afternoons of football remaining. Denzel Dykes is at peace with that, even if he has spent nearly as much time on the injury report as the depth chart this season.

Dykes, a backup cornerback at William and Mary who is scheduled to graduate in May, has a bigger passion. Ever since he was a kid, he’s dreamed up stories in his head and wrote them down. That led to short stories. And screenplays. And scripts.

His degree will be in world performing arts, and Dykes is ready to make his name known. As a writer, as a director, as an actor. Maybe he’ll be the next Quentin Tarantino, one of his idols.
