A 57-year-old Grafton man will serve 12 years in prison for a hit-and-run that killed a Yorktown woman on Super Bowl Sunday 2015.
Alyssa Lynne Rhoades, 23, died after she was hit by a car that failed to stop on Route 17 near Grafton Drive in York County on Feb. 1, 2015.
Another man was injured during the accident.
Both victims were taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News where Rhoades died. The other victim was released from the hospital the next day, said York County Commonwealth’s Attorney Benjamin Hahn.
Kevin Anthony Boone was arrested for the crime on May 6, 2015.
