Local Veterinarian Travels to Ecuador as Service Volunteer

Dr. Terry DeWitt of the Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic recently traveled to northern Ecuador working with the World Vets Program in efforts to improve animal welfare in the region of Otavalo. Through the World Vets program, veterinarians such as Dr. DeWitt volunteer their time to work in areas of the world where resources are limited and the need is greatest. The group's work not only helps the animals, but also the people and the communities in which they live. Dr. DeWitt and other World Vets volunteers provided surgical services to over 400 animals during their latest visit to this fascinating region.
