William and Mary junior Regan Rome was elected the Colonial Athletic Association's Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
One winner in each of the CAA's six fall sports were elected by a vote of all of the conference schools, and will advance next summer to the ballot for the overall male and female scholar-athletes of the year for 2016-17.
This is the eighth time that W&M has won the women's cross country award, third-most of any school in any sport in the 15-year history of the scholar-athlete program.
This is Rome's second CAA scholar-athlete award after taking the honor in track and field last spring.
