Let 'em play

Does anyone else remember playing baseball or football in your back yard or at the nearby school? These days, kids have to be driven to county-controlled fields because adults won't let them ride their bikes out of their neighborhoods. They have to be supervised by paid coaches and referees because adults won't let them resolve their own problems. Parents have to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on equipment, skill camps and one-on-one coaching, not to mention league fees which subsidize the best players by milking the rest to fill out their rosters. The kids who want to play for fun are shut out, but they don't have anywhere else to play....
