To State's Dismay, Suffield Sailor Confirmed Dead

The dispirited faces of people hoping a Navy sailor from Suffield, missing for four days, would be found safe and sound told the story on Friday.

Divers recovered and identified the remains of Electronics Technician 3rd Class Dustin Doyon early Friday morning. He had been missing since Monday, when his assigned ship, the USS John S. McCain, collided with an oil tanker off the coast of Malaysia. The remains of Doyon, 26, were the second recovered by divers searching the damaged destroyer for 10 missing sailors.
