Teacher pay

A year has 365 days. Most full time jobs require working 5 days a week so take away 104 days for the two days off leaving 261 working days. Now let's take away an average two weeks paid vacation, 10 days, so now you're working 251. Let's also take away most federal holidays, another 10 days. So now most full time workers have worked 241 days. A WJCC teacher is contracted for 201 days. During the additional 40 days "off," we are responsible for planning for the next year, participating in curriculum planning, and taking courses to keep our license current.  We must pay for these courses ourselves. I would love to know why this is considered...
