Mixed feelings for King William affordable housing project

Upper King William County may see as many as 228 new apartments and townhomes begin to take shape within the next two years.

Real estate developers Packett Properties and Mark-Dana Corp. are proposing to build 208 apartment units and as many as 20 single-family townhomes on a 21-acre lot in Aylett, near the corner of routes 30 and 360. The apartments will include 40 senior living units and 84 workforce income-restricted, multi-family units.
