With the Election Day dust settled, Tidewater’s two incumbent Republicans will continue their tenures in the House of Delegates. And while Democrats swept state-level offices, most local voters sided with their Republican opponents.
Republican Keith Hodges successfully staved off Democratic challenger Sheila Crowley to maintain his seat in the 98th House of Delegates district on Nov. 7. In the 97th District, Republican Chris Peace soundly defeated Democrat Cori Johnson.
Hodges earned 65 percent (18,559 votes) to Crowley’s 35 percent (9,937 votes), maintaining his seat in the 98th District in the House of Delegates, according to unofficial results from the...
