CBF, Dominion respond to attempt to repeal Clean Power Plan

The Trump administration moved last week to roll back the embattled Clean Power Plan that requires states to reduce carbon emissions from, primarily, coal-fired power plants.

The long-anticipated action drew both praise and condemnation from Virginia-based groups and political leaders jousting over what it would mean for jobs, energy and the Chesapeake Bay.

The coal industry and right-leaning free-market advocates agree with the administration that the CPP is job-killing overreach, while conservation and health care groups insist it’s bad for the economy, the environment and public health.
