Students Support Avalon Center in Effort to Be Bold for Change

Raymond A. Mason School of Business, 2017 International Women's Day: Five Cup Progression, a ceramics exhibit, was submitted to a marketing competition at William and Mary's annual Women's Leadership Summit to represent Avalon Center by the artist, Ms. Kara Peters, who was inspired by Avalon's empowerment strategies. Mr. Kent Rollins, William and Mary '18, partnered with Ms. Peters as a Marketing and Government student to represent Avalon Center as an organization that embodies the year's International Women's Day theme, Be Bold for Change. After the competition, Ms. Peters gifted the ceramics to Avalon Center as a message of support and hope for the survivors who enter.
