WEST POINT — When children go missing, West Point Police Chief Robert W. "Bobby" Mawyer has seen panicked parents forget basic facts about their loved ones.
Stress can cause confusion about their child's hair color, what they were wearing and where they are likely to hang out, Mawyer said.
The West Point Masonic Lodge No. 238 is trying to cut the confusion for families and law enforcement by spreading the use of a free program which provides parents with important information about their child, as well as photos, DNA samples and finger prints, said lodge member Jim Dopp.
