Women share abortion experiences during W&M 'Abortion Speak Out'

WILLIAMSBURG — The room full of students snapped their fingers in support as the young woman sitting on the edge of the stage began to cry. She was telling her story of having an abortion and keeping it a secret from her family. She said she didn’t regret her decision, but not being able to talk about it was the hardest part.

The young woman was just one of about a dozen who spoke up during an “Abortion Speak Out” held in the Sadler Center on Tuesday night last week at the College of William and Mary.
