Veterans remember, and give back

In a quiet section of Mid-County Park on Ironbound Road, not far from the excitement of children playing in Kidsburg, a memorial stands in a wooded area under American and POW/MIA flags.

It was dedicated in May 1993 and many county residents and visitors may not know its there. Inscribed with 18 names with a connection to our community, and one still missing in action, the Vietnam Memorial stands as a reminder of that long war and the sacrifices of many.
