Everyone loves a walk-off. The drama and celebration make for great theater.

Unless, of course, you’re on the other end. Jamestown’s baseball team is getting too used to that.

For the third year in a row, the Eagles’ season ended in walk-off fashion. Matt Wright’s two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Salem Spartans a 2-1 win in the Class 4 final at Salem Memorial Ballpark.

“Three years in a row,” Jamestown coach John Cole said. “Unbelievable.”
