Jamestown senior Chris Jones parlayed three years of impressive summer camp performances into an opportunity to play Division I baseball.
Jones committed to play baseball for Liberty University Saturday after wrapping participation in a Flames camp for the third consecutive year. It was there Jones said he had been making a name for himself.
Jones may be most noted in the area for his speed. He led off in Jamestown’s order and hit in the one- or two-spots for Post 39 in American Legion play.
