Agee reaches Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame

Joe Agee, William and Mary Class of 1952, will be inducted into the Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame this fall as part of a six-member class.

The induction banquet will take place at Norfolk's Scope Arena on Oct. 24, where Agee will be joined by 2013 MLB National League batting champion Michael Cuddyer, Norfolk Admirals hockey legend Rod Taylor, wrestler and coach Gray Simons, basketball star Ticha Penicheiro, and Norfolk mayor Paul Fraim.

Agee was a two-year member of the basketball team, averaging 9.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, and was also a member of the Tribe baseball and track teams.
