Central Michigan took control in the second half Tuesday to hand William and Mary a 91-81 defeat in Mount Pleasant.
Marcus Keene, the nation's leading scorer, had 36 points for the Chippewas (6-2). He hit 13 of 23 shots from the field and 5 of 7 free throws. His fellow 5-foot-9 guard Braylon Rayson added 23 points for CMU.
The Tribe (3-3), which led 45-42 at the half, lost despite Omar Prewitt’s 26 points and 13 rebounds. Greg Malinowski scored 14 points and Jack Whitman 12 for W&M.
