Lafayette lineman Trey Neville accepts football offer from Army

Trey Neville has two dreams following high school: flying helicopters and flattening defensive linemen. With his commitment Tuesday to play football for the United States Military Academy at West Point, Neville is well on his way to realizing both.

Neville, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound rising senior at Lafayette High, accepted Army’s offer to play on the offensive line over rival Navy and several Ivy League schools. Neville, who possesses a 3.67 grade-point average, said he was also offered football spots at Harvard, Princeton, Yale and Columbia.
