Tribe field hockey surges into national rankings, hosts Boston College on Sunday

William and Mary (5-1) ran its field hockey winning streak to five on Friday, completing a 2-0 trip to Ann Arbor, Mich., with a 4-2 victory over UC Davis (0-5).

A day after upsetting No. 7 Michigan 1-0, the Tribe went ahead 3-0 on goals by Emma MacLeod, Woodard Hooper and Estelle Hughes.

The Aggies pulled to within 3-2 before Midlothian’s Cammie Lloyd cracked a shot for a goal in the 61st minute, all but sealing the victory.

Hooper, a sophomore, earned Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week honors on Tuesday and is tied for the team lead in goals (4) with Lloyd.
