WRL advances to public library top eight

The community continues to rally around Williamsburg Regional Library as it advances closer to the title of best library in the nation. On Monday, WRL announced it received enough votes to enter the elite eight competing for the Engaging Local Government Leaders Knope Award.

The NCAA-style tournament initially featured more than 100 public libraries from across the U.S. bidding for recognition. In the last round, the Williamsburg library defeated that of Evansville, Indiana. The round featuring the final eight features a southern showdown, pitting the Williamsburg organization against the Chapel Hill Public Library in North Carolina.
