JAMES CITY – There was no drama Wednesday as senior football standout Hezekiah Grimsley slid on a maroon Virginia Tech visor at Lafayette’s National Signing Day celebration. The 6-feet, 180-pound receiver committed to the Hokies in May and stuck with the choice, never wavering.
Grimsley finished his senior campaign with 949 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, along with returning six kicks for TDs on his way to earning all-state honors on offense, defense and special teams.
And really, the statistics only partially tell the story of just how dynamic a player Grimsley transformed into for 2016.
