My recollection is that I never voted for a Heisman Trophy winner. I could be wrong. My first vote may have been for Jim Plunkett, but it has been a few years since I had a vote and more years that the Heisman measured anything that mattered, not to blame Johnny Manziel for more than he deserves.
Manziel did not kill the Heisman, though he added to its open wounds, and there is still Cam Newton holding up his end (no pun intended).
