Four golds from Willis help Eagles to 2nd-place finish at 4A track meet

On Thursday, Jamestown coach Mark Tompkins said if the Eagles’ boys team performed near its best in the Group 4A outdoor track and field meet, a top-three overall performance could be in the cards.

Jamestown finished second Saturday in Harrisonburg thanks in large part to three individual gold medals from University of Virginia signee Jordan Willis, and another from Willis on the 4x100-meter relay. The Eagles’ 55.5 points were only three short of first-place Loudoun Valley and Lafayette finished eighth overall.
