Cavalier sophomore golfer Taylor Hubbard became the first player in King Williams’s history to win the 2A Regional Golf championship. Taylor shot a one under 70 to win the event on Sept. 26 at the Kinderton Country Club in Clarksville.
“Last year, Taylor finished fifth in the state tournament. I knew he had a great chance to win the region this year,” King William coach Jay Blanton said. “He struggled a little on the front nine, but he was money on the back. Golf is a physical and mental game, and Hubbard has mastered both of those in his 13 years of playing golf.”
