W-JCC Board recognizes local student achievements

During its regular meeting Tuesday night, Williamsburg-James City County School Board recognized several local students for their recent achievements. 

The board hosts similar recognition ceremonies at each board meeting. 

Jamestown High School student Alexa Halko was named 2015 U.S. Paralympic High School Track & Field All-American for the 100, 200, 400, and 800-meter races.

Halko also holds the US records for these races.  She was one of the youngest members of the U.S. team and is currently ranked third in the world.
