It was all about the kids last Saturday morning at the 24th annual Child Development Resources Super Hero Run at the Vineyards of Williamsburg clubhouse, as the organizer and beneficiary, CDR, exceeded its goal of raising more than $50,000 in their 50th year, a total of more than $54,000.
It was all about the kids, as many dressed in their favorite SuperHero costume, vying for the best costume award. The vast majority of the 96 finishers in the 1-mile fun run were kids. And 34 boys and 22 girls competed in the 14-and-under division of the longer race, which had 361 runners and walkers cross the finish line.
