W&M alumna Casey sticking with Sky Blue in National Women's Soccer League

Caroline Casey's professional soccer debut came in April, on the road in Sky Blue FC's season opener at two-time defending National Women's Soccer League Shield winner Seattle Reign.

Casey stepped out of the Memorial Stadium tunnel for the customary team entrances, welcomed by 4,000 Seattle fans. In front of her in a light blue jersey was Sky Blue FC teammate and U.S. soccer icon Christie Rampone. Next to Casey in the opposite queue was Hope Solo, consistently one of the biggest names in women's soccer for about the last decade and by many accounts, still the best goalkeeper on the planet at 34.
