Legacy 76 qualifies for first U.S. Open Cup

National Premier Soccer League outfit Legacy 76 will compete in the  U.S. Open Cup for the first time in the club's history, as one of a record-99 teams nationwide competing in the prestigious U.S. Soccer National Club Championship.

The pairings will not be announced until next month and Legacy 76 is scheduled to play in the first round on May 10.

Legacy 76, the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club's senior team, qualified for the Open Cup via last season's NPSL playoffs, and is one of 18 teams in the league to receive a bid including division rival Fredericksburg FC.
