Two women's track and field athletes will represent William and Mary in the NCAA championships.
Tribe junior Regan Rome finished third in her heat and 10th overall in the 5,000 meters Saturday in the NCAA Eastern Preliminaries to advance in her second event after clinching a nationals berth in the 10,000 meters. Rome is the first William and Mary athlete to qualify for the national finals in two events since 1982.
William and Mary's Leia Mistowski also made the cut in the hammer throw, putting the Tribe third in the state in national qualifiers behind Virginia Tech's seven.
