Castillo-D'Amico wins Coast Guard Day 5K

After a lifetime peak to her running career in 2013, 56-year-old Mercedes Castillo-D'Amico has taken a bit of a break from serious training and racing in 2014. Yet she couldn't resist one of her favorite races, the 26th annual Coast Guard Day 5K, held Saturday morning at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, and was the overall women's winner for the third consecutive year.
