Rain and thunderstorms will continue Tuesday morning after storms overnight brought heavy rain on Monday night, forecasters said.
The high temperature will be 75 degrees, with about 1/2 an inch of additional rain expected throughout the day, said Larry Brown, a meteorologist at The National Weather Service.
There may be isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, Brown said.
Major flooding isn't a concern in the Historic Triangle, Brown said, although there could be slight, localized flooding in low-lying areas.
Dominion Virginia Power reported 19 power outages in the Historic Triangle on Tuesday morning.
