Bask in the sunshine, for brighter days are finally here after much of May was grayer than expected for the month that introduces summer.
On Wednesday the temperature in Williamsburg is forecast to hit 90 degrees, and the warm weather seems on track to stay put for the next few days.

On May 2, summer seemed in sight as the thermometer topped out at 86 degrees.
Then the skies darkened and the rain started.
The National Weather Service in Wakefield said the Hampton Roads area saw rain on 19 of the first 24 days in May, including 14 days in the Williamsburg area with measurable precipitation.
