The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is hosting a statewide tornado drill at 9:45 a.m. for all government facilities and public schools in the state, according to a news release.
As winter gives way to spring and jet streams of warmer weather, tornadic weather is always a threat -- especially in Virginia.
