Colonial Williamsburg archaeologists discover site of Revolutionary War barracks
According to Colonial Williamsburg, 18th century maps of the area and other documents make reference to a barracks that had been constructed beginning in 1776 to accommodate up to 2,000 soldiers and 100 horses.
