Arts Alive presents the “3 Redneck Tenors” and the opening of an invitational art exhibit, featuring West Point Councilwoman Gail Nichols, on March 17.
The 3 Redneck Tenors are a new kind of group, as they bring comedy to their music. The group has been performing for audiences since 2006.
The group’s music is written by opera veteran Matthew Lord and composed by award-winning composer Craig Bohmler. The 3 Redneck Tenors is made up of Matthew Lord, Blake Davidson and Jonathan Fruge.
The group’s performance will be 7 p.m. at the W. T. Robinson-Sturge G. Olsson Civic Auditorium and Fine Arts Center, 1040 Thompson Ave., in West Point.
Prior to the performance, the Arts Alive visual arts committee will host an invitational art exhibit at 6:30 p.m., featuring Nichols’ work.
The exhibit will be on display from March 6 through April 17 in the exhibit area of the auditorium, which is adjacent to West Point High School. It can be viewed during regular school hours by entering through the high school’s main entrance near the office.
Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors (65+) and $10 for students. A group rates of $15 is available for groups of 10 or more. Tickets may be purchased online at artsaliveinc.org, by phone at 804-843-3475 or by email at email@example.com.
