Home catches fire in King William

A house caught fire early Wednesday morning in King William.

The homeowner wasn’t at the house during the incident and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire, according to a King William Fire and Emergency Medical Services news release.

Firefighters responded to the report of the house fire at around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday at 1790 Commins Road, the release stated.

Hanover firefighters were contacted to assist in the incident. King William Volunteer Fire Rescue, Mangohick Volunteer Fire Department and Walkerton Community Fire Association responded to the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call King William Fire and Emergency Medical Services at 804-769-4960.
