NWS: Rain likely on Virginia Peninsula Tuesday

There's a good chance for rain on the Virginia Peninsula Tuesday.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for partly sunny skies changing over to rain after 1 p.m. There’s a 70 percent chance for rain in the afternoon, increasing to 80 percent overnight.

Expect a high temperature of about 45 degrees and low of about 40.

Calm winds will become southeast in the afternoon, about 5 to 7 mph. Winds will increase slightly and become north overnight.
