John Livecchi donates to Local Authors Project at Williamsburg Regional Library

Local author John Livecchi (right) donates his recent book "Retellings: Homer's Characters Speak in Our Time" to the Williamsburg Regional Library. Library Development Officer Benjamin Goldberg accepts the gift. This book offers free-verse poems which introduce or reacquaint the reader to the timeless characters in Homer's "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey." The author taught Homer's works for much of his thirty-four year career as a high school English teacher. He holds an M.A. in English education from the College of New Jersey and an M.Litt. from Drew University. This title will be added to the Local Authors Project collection at the library.
