Mabel and Nutmeg

By Sammy Johnson

Mabel and Nutmeg are two friendly smaller dogs that came into Animal Aid together from another shelter, where their owner had given them up for some reason. Mabel is about a year old, and Nutmeg is about 4. Talking about Mabel first, she is a long-haired Chihuahua who weighs about 15 pounds. Her fur is a pretty cool black and brown mix; she looks silky. She is a very playful dog and has a lot of energy, but I bet she would calm down when she was not around so many dogs at once. In fact, she was pretty calm when I took her for a walk just with Nutmeg. Speaking of Nutmeg, she is wire-haired terrier mix and is a little bigger, about 22 pounds. She has one prick ear and one drop ear which is a cute combination. She is calm around everybody and loves to just be petted and give little licks. Mabel and Nutmeg are really good friends, so I hope maybe they could go to a home together. But it also would be fine if they went to separate places. I'm sure they would be happy with anyone nice!
