Shelter Picks: Eulee

By Sammy Johnson

The first thing I noticed about Eulee is that she looks like a small black leopard. She is a really beautiful, 6-year-old female black cat that came to the SPCA because her owner died. She is all black - a very shiny dark black - except for her light green eyes. Even her nose is black. She is a very lovable cat that likes to be scratched behind her ears. She has lived with dogs and has been around kids from ages 1 through 12, and her information sheet says that she has never bitten or scratched anyone. She has a cute, soft meow and likes to play with a ball that has a rattle inside. I love lap cats, and Eulee is definitely a lap cat. So I know whoever took her home would be very happy!

For information on Eulee and other animals at the Peninsula SPCA, call (757) 595-1399, go to or visit the shelter at 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Newport News.
