Fergus is lucky to be around anymore, because he was rescued from a different shelter only a few hours before he was going to be put to sleep. After meeting him, I'm really glad he is still here. He is an approximately 7-year-old Walker hound mix who is extremely mellow, quiet and sweet. Fergus has a very cute little brown mark on the top of his white head that looks like either Mickey Mouse or a bunny rabbit -- whichever one you want to imagine. He would make an excellent companion dog and probably would be a great fit with a somewhat older person, because he is not very high-maintenance and doesn't need really long walks. He weighs 53 pounds, but he is so gentle and laid-back that he wouldn't be hard to handle. I know that whoever gets Fergus will get a new friend for life.
